Northern Perspectives: An Interview Series with 2018-2019 Jane Glassco Northern Fellows
In this special feature, Yellowhead conducted a series of interviews with the 2019 Jane Glassco Northern Fellows with the aim of amplifying the research and perspectives of Northern Indigenous policy analysts. The Jane Glassco Northern Fellowship is a policy and leadership development program recognizing leadership potential among young Northerners who seem to address policy challenges facing the North.
Yellowhead created this page of resources starting in March 2020 with content that may be helpful for Indigenous communities to prepare for and address the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic. These resources may be Policy Briefs, infographics, and toolkits. The page also includes reflections on the impacts of the pandemic in various media forms.
Building on Yellowhead’s June 2018 report, Canada’s Emerging Indigenous Rights Framework: A Critical Analysis, we continue the conversation with a series of multi-media tools. These resources include our first podcast answering crowd-sourced questions on the Framework with an up-to-date state of Indian Policy today; and a comic explainer that breaks down why the Framework was shelved and offers the possibility of an alternative approach.
