Adrianne Xavier
Adrianne Lickers Xavier is an Assistant Professor at McMaster University in the Indigenous Studies and Anthropology Departments. She is an Onondaga (and Mohawk) woman from the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory in Southern Ontario. She has spent years working in her home community focusing on Indigenous food security and sovereignty. Her research and writing now focus on Indigenous food sovereignty, security, and food systems. Adrianne also focuses her teaching and research on Indigenous knowledge, ways of knowing, and community building.
