Sidney Leggett
Sidney (she/they) is an epidemiologist and researcher that is passionate about Indigenous Science. Her work has focused on wellness for relatives using substances, bringing statistics to life with story telling, and mentoring Indigenous youth on science and data sovereignty. Sidney holds a Masters of Science in Epidemiology from McGill University, and a Bachelors of Science (Honours) in Computer Science and Data Analysis from the University of Winnipeg. They are of mixed settler, Metis, and Cree descent. Sidney is a Red River Metis Citizen with ties to Grand Rapids, Manitoba. They were born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba and it has always been home.
