Yellowhead in the Media

Principles for Media

If we are able to connect media to a source (and this is never a guarantee), the following is expected:

01.

Arrive at any scheduled interviews promptly (including any pre-interviews)

02.

Explain the context and framing for any interview or panel

03.

Ask for pronouns and correct pronunciation of names/titles

04.

Attribution, even if the interview is for information but ultimately makes it into a story

05.

Compensation where appropriate, especially if the interview or panel is for broadcast

06.

To the greatest extent possible, the opportunity for review of any quotes prior to publication

07.

A general ethic of respect for any Yellowhead people willing to share their time and knowledge
