Candice Maglione Desjarlais
Candice Maglione Desjarlais is a Cree Métis woman. She is an Indigenous advocate specializing in lands, treaties, promoting Indigenous sovereignty, and an analyst of legislation and policy affecting Indigenous peoples and has been involved in various claims processes. Candice and her partner Rodney Chalifoux live in Treaty 8 territory (Northern Alberta) and strive every day to improve the lives of Indigenous peoples in their professional and personal capacities. She is a mother of 3 sons, stepmother of 5 adult children and proud grandmother of 3 grandchildren.
