In this Brief, Azeezah Kanji argues that Palestine should be understood not as an exception, but as an emblem of the contemporary colonial condition. Kanji examines how colonialism, dispossession, and racial violence have been normalized within global systems of governance, and challenges us to confront the structures that make such violence possible.
