Request for Proposals: Yellowhead Institute Ceiling Mural
Yellowhead is searching for an Indigenous artist or artist teams to design and execute the installation of a ceiling mural at Yellowhead’s new and first office space. The mural will be installed on the ceiling of our hosting space, extending to the ceiling of the exterior of the building. This is a large scale mural located centrally on campus, located just off Sankofa Square at Yonge-Dundas.
Key Details
→Eligibility: First Nation, Métis, and Inuit artists in Canada; established artist(s) or artist teams
→Compensation: Minimum is set at $25,000, shortlisted applicants engaging in stage two of the selection process will also be compensated.
→ Submission Deadline: Stage One: May 5, 2025. Stage Two: June 2, 2025.
Curriculum Developer
We are seeking an experienced course curriculum developer to create a comprehensive online course based on our report, Cash Back, our second Red Paper after Land Back. Drawing from, and improving upon the Land Back curriculum, we are interested in an accessible, compelling, community-focused learning experience that centres Indigenous learners, and those with a grade 11 – undergraduate learning level. The successful candidate will have experience with curriculum development (ideally for online learning), as well as knowledge of/experience with instructional design.

→Position Type / Duration: Contract, project-based; May 2025 – August 2025 (flexible)
→Compensation: $6000 – $8000 (flexible, based on scope/experience)
