Student Mentor
The Public Administration and Indigenous Governance (PAIG) Program is a renewed program run in partnership with the First Nation Technical Institute, based at Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, and the Dept. of Politics at Toronto Metropolitan University. PAIG recently expanded to support learners through the Government of Nunavut. Designed for Indigenous students working in community governance, the Program aims to build the skills to practice sovereignty.
The program is seeking a Student Mentor to support students enrolled in the Iqaluit delivery of the PAIG program. The Mentor will provide culturally grounded academic guidance, orientation to program expectations, and connections to supports offered by FNTI and partner institutions. The Mentor builds a positive student experience through encouragement, relationship-building, and responsive support.

Student Tutor

The program is seeking a Student Tutor to support First Nations students currently enrolled in the PAIG program. Throughout the academic year, the Student Mentor serves as a resource for students, answering general questions related to course assignments. They will provide feedback on students’ work, support them in developing their study skills (i.e. note-taking, assignment preparation).
